Scarce CD Auction

Well, I know it's been quite a very LONG time in coming, but now, the moment many of you have been waiting for is FINALLY here! Welcome to this, our Fall/Winter 2003 Scarce CD Auction! Thanks again to all participants from our last event and congratulations to all of the top-bidders! For all you new-comers, let me preface here first by stating that every CD in this section is considered to be "scarce", based upon current accessibility in the particular condition listed. Currently, none of these titles are readily available from any source of distribution (at least none that we are aware of) thus, very very few in number if any, are believed to be remaining in circulation at the present time.(The CD-hunting ventures I've personally been involved in during recent months past also seem to confirm this.) Many of these CDs are new and still in the original jewel case, longbox or blisterpak. Some may not be as difficult to find "used", but are scarcely ever seen NEW anymore. And others included here, though they are second-hand, are not easily found in decent shape today. The balance are import-only releases that are now out-of-print. It is possible that in the nation of origin, they could be easier to find, but not here in the US, as import titles in second-hand CD stores are generally very few in number. And you may even notice that VERY few if any of these particular titles were ever stocked in the new CD stores in America that do sell imports, so the likelihood that any of them will find their way into a used CD store in this country is slim to none.
.

OK, here's how it all works. Unlike Ebay, this is a "sealed bid" auction, which means that all submissions will remain confidential throughout, and at the end, all the winners will be notified via email. Bidding will close at midnight Pacific-time on December 15th, 2003. All submissions should be made by then to be considered valid. Following are the procedures to use when placing your bid. Send us an e-mail, and include in the MAIN TEXT BODY all of the following information: (Serious entrys only, PLEASE.)

1. Your Full Name (First&Last)
2. Shipping Address
3. E-mail address (All winners will be notified via e-mail following the close of the auction. Please provide a valid e-mail address for us to contact you in the event you are the winner. If possible, please provide a secondary e-mail address as backup.)
4. Artist & Title of the CD you are bidding on.
5. The offer you are making for that item (Amount should be in US $$)

(Note: You will need to compose and send a separate email for EACH CD you bid on, or in other words, only 1(one) bid item per email please.)

IMPORTANT!: The ITEM NUMBER for the particular title you're bidding on MUST appear alone in your email's SUBJECT LINE. Because all these emails will be gathered, sorted and filed electronically, please ensure that the auction item number is the ONLY text in the SUBJECT LINE, and that it correctly matches the artist/title of the CD for which you are submitting.

Be sure to note the minimum-bid level assigned to an item when determining your offer. All bids need to exceed or at least equal this amount to qualify. You may also ammend any bid you've made at any time, providing that it is submitted before the final close of the auction.Your very last bid for an item is the one that will ultimately be applied.

Please email each of your bids to:

e-mail: MQBids@aol.com

Each winner, once notified, will have a period of 10 days to make payment (15 days for non-US residents), or a forfeiture will result & the second highest bidder for the item will be awarded the victory. The usual domestic and international shipping & insurance rates prescribed in our "Ordering Information" section will apply. Indemnity value for insurance purposes will be based upon price paid by the winner for the item.

As previously stated, this IS a sealed-bid auction, so in the spirit of fairness, we cannot divulge any details regarding the offer(s) of any other participant. Thanks and...

GOOD LUCK!!!!!
